A heartwarming tale of a Boston Terrier who might possibly have Down Syndrome, rendered in a lol-worthy patois of dog-speak. If you've ever cozied up to your pet late at night, nuzzled them until your mouth was right next to their ear, and then whispered, "I know you can talk you lying little sack of garbage, how stupid do you think I am????????", then this book is right up your alley. Also, parents not buying this book for your kids is basically child abuse.
What a wonderful book! My husband and I take turns reading the chapters aloud. It's also a great gift for that person who has everything.

Little Hooey's creative brilliance is perfectly balanced by the rock-hard logic of Turkey Boy, and the stoic humanity of Owner. They are the perfect trio for exploring life's important questions in the context of a talking Boston Terrier.
Wonderful book. I have to admit that the cover is what had caught my eye, it was so cute. Thought I would give it a try and boy was I not disappointed! I read this in bed next to my dog and could just imaging him writing this. Hoodel's adventures with Turkey Boy were hilarious but definitely check out the chapter "This is a doctor Hoodel to you not a mister!" I don't know the last time I read something so funny. As an animal lover you need this book.

This is a hilarious series of stories written from the perspective of an imaginative & innocent dog. The grammar is intentionally off, as is spelling, which creates an adorable dialect & cantor that is wholly unique to Hoodel. Best light read I've had in quite a while. Love it!
